This was our first attempt for a hunter pace, although we've been trail-riding alot. We (our team of four from the barn) chose the slowest of the three paces. Each pace had an ideal time, unknown to us, for how long the ride should take and whoever was the closest to the time was the winner. Misty was the leader/pacesetter for our team. She's very bold and moves right out. The ride was almost two hours through fields, up, down & around the mountain, rocks, bridges, streams, mud, & jumps. For as many horses that were there, the 2nd place finish was quite a happy surprise. If we do it again, I'd like to opt for the faster pace; she would have been perfectly happy to have gone a quicker clip! She wasn't winded in the least. She's just amazing." Sally.
